Kariba Airport is located in Kariba town Zimbabwe near Kariba Dam. The airport handles domestic flights from Kariba town to Harare and Victoria Falls.

The airport operates for 12 hours per day.

It is used by many small private charter planes from different locations in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. There are few regional flights from South Africa (Cape Town and Johannesburg).

Small private and charter planes use the 1600 by 35 meters runway. It can take aircraft up to 41000kg.

Foreign travellers can use the airport for immigration and customs clearance purposes. This is very convenient for people doing safaris in areas around Lake Kariba. Though quite, the place can be busy during events like the annual Kariba Invitational Fishing Tournament which attracts more than 800 participants from all over the world.

For things to see and do the fascinating Matusadona National Park is nearby. Here you find elephants, crocodiles, lions, buffalos and rhino. Remember the landlocked Zimbabwe and Zambia use Lake Kariba as their ultimate ‘seaside’ resort.
