Mukuvisi Woodlands Harare: Zimbabwe Parks Authority have killed a stray crocodile near Mukuvisi Woodlands following a number of reported attacks on people in and near the popular resort. Zimparks  and Harare Police have been monitoring and tracking the animal before finally killing it as it was deemed very dangerous.

The dead crocodile was then displayed in Harare city centre last week to educate and inform members of the public on the dangers of provoking wild animals.

At least 60 people were attacked and killed by crocodile between January and November in 2015.

These attacks are largely due to ignorance about crocodile behaviour. With the rains now about to start many people are likely to encounter these creatures around rivers and water systems.
