Zimbabwe uses United States Dollars(US$) as official currency. Fees and prices are all quoted in US Dollars. Businesses, banks, shops and people in Zimbabwe use American Dollars.

The Zimbabwe Dollar was abandoned some years ago and it is no longer printed or in circulation.

Zimbabwe Visa

Zimbabwe requires visas for travellers from a number of countries.

People From the list below will need a visa to enter Zimbabwe. You can get it at the point of entry. You don’t necessarily have to apply for it from your country

The issue of safety is raised many times in relation to travelling to Zimbabwe, we must emphasise that the government of Zimbabwe is desperate to get tourists and visitors into the country. There are no serious reports of robberies or violence targeting tourists.

Zimbabwe is considered to be very safe in comparison to many popular African destinations. No reports of gun or knife crimes against tourists.

It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of yourself and your property. Like in any place in the world you may encounter criminals targeting tourists. It is advisable to avoid travelling at night.
