Why visit Kwekwe Mining Museum?
The National Mining Museum in Kwekwe(Que Que) is the place to learn about modern and past years mining in Zimbabwe.
Here Visitors will see a number of rare and precious minerals that are mined in Zimbabwe; gold, diamonds, emeralds and other precious metals.
Kwekwe is home to the country’s second biggest gold mine Globe and Phoenix mine.
The museum has various exhibits, all associated with mining.
You will also learn how gold and other precious minerals were extracted from ground, processed and exported in ancient Zimbabwe.
This is Zimbabwe’s only mining museum making Kwekwe a very special place for mining enthusiasts.
The Paper House built in 1894 is another attraction at the museum.
A small entry fee is charged.
