Things are back to normal in Harare roads after Kombi commuter bus operators rioted in the early morning hours of Monday today in protest against police roadblocks in the city.
Hundreds of commuters and motorists were left stranded as they could not get to the city.
As reported in many Zimbabwe newspapers, travelling was disrupted but things returned to normal following intervention by local riot police.
There are no reported injuries though some cars had their windows smashed by demonstrators.
We have been receiving numerous emails on this blog from people asking..Is it safe to travel to Harare today?
How are things in Harare Zimbabwe today?
Our answer is Harare streets are safe!
The protests occurred around Ruwa, Epworth and eastern Harare townships.
The riots were targeting local police officers not ordinary people and travellers.
However you need to be vigilant all times and ask your country embassy for more information if visiting Harare Zimbabwe and unsure of the situation. ZimGuide.com
