National Football Association of Zimbabwe-NFAZ
Zimbabwe’s football governing body is called the National Football Association of Zimbabwe(NFAZ).
It was formed on 4 June 2016.
Currently the elected head and president of the organisation is Philip Chiyangwa.
NFAZ uses a Harare address as it is based at old ZIFA offices in Harare. Telephone numbers and emails are still the same.
Why was ZIFA dissolved? The old soccer managing body had a lot of financial problems and a tarnished image due to match fixing scandals and corruption which made it impossible for the new management to make progress.
On Saturday 4 June, the body set and agreed to disband old ZIFA and form a new organisation to steer the country’s football forward.
NFAZ is a registered member of COSAFA, CAF and FIFA as of 4-06-16
