It is the closest international point of arrival to Victoria Falls Zimbabwe.   It is located 22 km from the city along the highway to Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. It is very close to the Falls, Hwange National Park and Zambezi river. Here you get customs and immigration services.

The airport handles domestic and regional flights. In Zimbabwe, it offers direct flights from Victoria Falls town  to Harare, Lake Kariba and Bulawayo. Victoria Falls Airport handles regional flights and airlines from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg South Africa, Windhoek Namibia and Maun Botswana.

This airport is just some 30 minutes drive from the Falls making it possible to drive and cross the Zimbabwe Zambia border in a matter of minutes. The 2 countries have a Uni Visa system so you only need visa from 1 of the countries to use in both Zambia or Zimbabwe.  There are plenty car hire and rental firms that will help with transfers for less than $50 to cross the border.

People usually use this option while flying from South Africa or Harare.

If it suits your trip plans, you may use Livingstone International Airport  which is nearest from Zambian side. You will then use a taxi to travel to the Falls. The charges are based on how far the place is to Vicfalls.

The airport is the gateway to The Victoria Falls resort and Zimbabwe’s biggest game reserve Hwange National Park.
