The Zimbabwe Map can be enlarged to highlight the main Holiday Destinations of the country. If you look at the map of Zimbabwe closely you will see that the country’s main tourist attractions are on the far western end of the country close the Zambezi River. They are Hwange National Park, Matusadona National Park, Mana Pools National Park,Victoria Falls and Lake Kariba.
The second cluster of tourist attractions is on the far eastern region of Zimbabwe known as the Eastern Highlands. Here we
find Nyangani Mountain(Zimbabwe’s highest peak) Vumba Mountains, Honde Valley, Mutarazi(Mtarazi)Falls and Chimanimani Mountains. If you happen to be in these areas you will be very close to Birchenough Bridge and Gonarezhou National Park which are on the Southern end of the Eastern Region.
The other important attractions are not on the far edges of the country. Matobo Hills is just few minutes drive from Bulawayo City. Great Zimbabwe ruins is located near the town of Masvingo.
There are many other less less known and less travelled areas and regions that are not shown on the map of Zimbabwe. There is a lot in Zimbabwe that many people want to know, the only problem is that there is very little written. Zimbabwe is not only about Mana Pools National Park, Kariba Dam, Eastern Highlands, Matobo Hills, Great Zimbabwe, Bulawayo or Harare City, there is so much to explore and discover.
