The Director General of Central Vehicle Registry is responsible for issuing Zimbabwean driver’s licences.
Their offices can be used for confirmation of validity and certification of Zimbabwean drivers’ licences. Just in case you need to check someone’s details to make sure their papers are genuine, this is the place to go.
They also deal with car registration and Zimbabwe number plates registration.
CVR works closely with the Vehicle Inspection Department(VID) though the later is largely responsible for driver testing and road vehicle safety.
